What is Kirameki Productions?

When I first started making videos back in late 2004, I created “Kirameki Productions” to sorta identify my creations. I used to have KP on a standalone site. Now I decided to combine it here in Tokimeki Creations for easy updating and to showcase what’s related to ‘art’.

My first video I made was after I saw my friend making videos from The Sims (you know how you can capture videos in it?) So then I started messing around with Movie Maker. A few of my early videos were school shooting related since I hung out at some school shooting related community in LJ.

Then I started to get familiar into vidding, and been making them ever since. So here, under the Kirameki Productions category, I’ll upload all of my latest fanvids for you!

What is fanvid?

Fanvid or Fan Videos is videos made by fans of certain fandom to show their tribute, liking or even make a complete new story that we call “AU or Alternate Universe” Videos are usually combined with music, and uses their own imagination and creativity to create something new.

Why Vidding?

One of my many hobbies is creating a music video from movies or clips that I like by mixing it with a random song. Sometimes I get creative and the urge to make a video just came like that. I use Windows Movie Maker, MPEG video wizard, Vegas, etc to cut and paste the clips together with the song. Mostly I vid movies that I like with the songs that I feel suitable for it or to show my tribute to certain people. Now I’m trying to get more creative and make AU type of videos though!

My videos doesn’t look professionally built because my main program is MPEG Movie Maker. It’s the only program that my comp can handle without crashing too much, or waiting for a long time for the video to be rendered. It supports directly working with VOBs too. I’m hoping that soon I can buy a new comp that can handle Adobe Premiere XD (My comp currently can handle Premiere, but it won’t preview clips…bleh)
